I have searched far and wide for instructions on how to create a recovery disk for my laptop running Window Vista(TM) Home Premium (WVHP – from here forward). All I kept coming across were post telling me how it couldn’t be done without buying software or ordering a recovery disk from the manufacturer that shipped the machine with WVHP pre-installed.
Finally, I found a post that mentioned that the machine should have its own utility built in to create the disks. After much searching and recovery-disk-ordering-dodging, found a link to instructions on how to make my own disk here.
Sure enough! It was staring me in the face the whole time:
